Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone! For us that means only one thing… it’s cocktail time!
With the promise of spring in the air we decided to go with the fresh flavoured Irish Maid.
Irish whiskey, elderflower liqueur and crisp cucumber make for a classy St Patrick’s day toast.
The Irish Maid Recipe:
2 Slices of Cucumber (cut into 1/2cm slices)
2 Parts Irish Whiskey (we used Jameson)
1/2 Parts St Germain Elderflower Liqueur
3/4 Parts Fresh Lemon Juice
3/4 Parts Simple Syrup (One part sugar, one part water)
Plenty of Ice
Garnish: 1 slice of cucumber
Muddle the cucumber and combine all the ingredients into your shaker.
Add ice and shake well.
Strain into your ice-filled glass and garnish with a slice of cucumber.
