We headed out of the house this morning at 4am to meet with our fellow 'Whitby Wild Swimmers' to greet the summer solstice.

Once we were in the salty calm North Sea the sun began to rise turning the sky the colour of pink grapefruit and transforming the ripples of the water into liquid mercury.

Even though we had to be mindful of social distancing it was lovely to catch up with the rest of the wild swimmers and see in such a special sunrise.
