This weekend we strolled down the cobbled paths of Whitby Old Town to take part in a magical wreath making workshop at The Shepherd's Purse.

With the scent of pine needles, eucalyptus and mulled wine perfuming the air, we set about creating two wreaths to adorn the Art Disco HQ.

The Shepherd's Purse has been a treasured part of Whitby’s heritage since 1973. Located in a secret courtyard tucked away down one of Whitby’s famous alleys on Church Street the family run shop is a truly enchanting place.

Our expert tutor Michelle really inspired and guided us all to create our first wreaths. Cajoled with mulled wine and mince pies, it was an afternoon spent in great company and we all managed to take home something utterly unique.

We hurried home to proudly hang them on our doors.
