Art Disco Negroni

The Negroni is one of our all time favourite cocktails. So simple to make yet so complex in flavour, it truly is a classic combination not to be messed with.

We're not the only Negroni advocates, Orson Welles was a super fan and believed the cocktail to be good for you! Whilst working in Rome in 1947, Welles described the relatively new drink: “The bitters are excellent for your liver, the gin is bad for you. They balance each other out” ... and who are we to disagree?

As it's Negroni week, why not join us in a glass or three?

Negroni Recipe:
(Makes one)

25ml Gin (We recommend our local Whitby Gin)
25ml Campari
25ml Sweet Vermouth
A slice of orange
Plenty of Ice

We like to put our glasses in the freezer for half an hour to get them nice and chilled (this is optional but recommended)
Fill a short tumbler with ice. Pour in the ingredients, give a quick stir and add a slice of orange.

Voila!
