To celebrate the return of Peaky Blinders tonight we've made a special cocktail in it's honour. Peaky Blinders is steeped in history and dark undertones and this cocktail is no different. We took a traditional Old Fashioned and spiked the typical sugar syrup with rosemary and finished it with a sucker punch of rosemary smoke. Put on your flat hat and let's get mixing.

Rosemary sugar Syrup ingredients (Makes enough for many cocktails!):
100g Brown Sugar 100ml Water
1 Sprig of Rosemary

Ingredients:
2½ shot Bourbon
½ shot Sugar syrup
3 dash Angostura aromatic bitters
2 Sprigs of Rosemary

Start by making the rosemary syrup. Add sugar and water to a small saucepan and stir on medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Throw in rosemary and let simmer for 10 minutes. Remove rosemary and let cool before using in your cocktail.

Put a splash of syrup in a glass and add a couple of dashes of bitters. Pour in the bourbon and stir well.

Add lots of ice and a sprig of rosemary.

Grab a container that fits over the glass, light a sprig of rosemary and let the smoke fill the container. Quickly place the smoke filled container over the glass and let the smoke infuse the cocktail for around 30 seconds.

Serve immediately and drink smugly.

Peaky Blinders is on at 9pm on BBC2 tonight.
